Canon EOS 30D review

This camera worked perfectly out of the box. It doesn't quite have the same feel as the EOS Elan I did. But, they are both excellent to handle. I was surprised at the weight difference between the 300D and the 30D. But, that can be attributed to the 17-85 IS lens. The shutter has a much better sound than that of the 300D... Better noise dampening and construction? On 5/7, I used it at the Denver Zoo. The bear pits for the Grizzley and Asian bears are in the shade and I have had trouble in the past getting clear shots with ISO's of less than 400. The combination of the 30D and IS lens resolved that problem. I expect to bring back about 300 shots from a trip down to Pagosa Springs/Durango over the US Memorial Day Holiday....... More news in June

NO problems.. just finding the time to run the camera through it's paces....
