Casio Exilim EX-Z850 review

I use the EX-Z850 as my "carry it with me wherever I go" camera, and have a Nikon D200 for more serious stuff. This camera is absolutely marvelous - outstanding image quality, easy to use, phenomenal battery life. Great in point-and-shoot mode, but also easy to customize in endless ways.

Probably the most important thing to know for people who have complained about image quality is that it appears that stock automatic exposure runs from 1/2 to a full stop overexposed. Casio should firmware fix this, but I routinely have the histogram feature on, and back the exposure down .3, .7, or 1 stop, and get superb results.

As for the video quality issues - It would be nice to see a firmware upgrade/fix, but get real - if you want video, get a video camera! Video from a still camera is a gratuity!

None, other than the overexposure.
