Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D (Dynax 5D) review

Well, I was thinking about going for Dynax 7D. And then I did read about all the back focus problems and that 7D has been discontinued... The same as 5D when I've bought it. But I have found it, in the middle of nowhere, in Scotland - and I've bought it immediately. I could not do a better thing! The camera design is great, it's very comfortable to use (well, except my nose leaving greasy stains on the lcd - but that would happen to any of modern dslrs :). Image quality is very good, even at higher ISO's (although ISO 1600 when used in very difficult conditions is not so great - I do not bother though, as I mainly use lowest ISOs), raw shooting performance is very good, battery stays operating for a long time. Two particularly important things for me were a viewfinder (which is very good) and AntiShake system (which is even better Overall - great product. I expect to be upgrading to Pentax K10D soon, but for now - I am more than happy!

Problems:

I'd say the biggest issues I have with this camera are based on fact that:

- you cannot do a bracketing in steps bigger than 0.7ev
- af can be quite slow and inaccurate in low light
- there is no grip available

Except these things - it's a very good camera!
