Nikon D80 review

The D80 is a beautifully constructed and well-sorted precision photographic instrument for the enthusiast. Wonderful camera, great feature set, competitive price. For best results, skip the array of Nikon 18-whatever slow kit zooms, and invest in a quality f/2.8 continuous aperture pro-quality zoom: You'll save money in the long run - No really, you will!

D50 and D70 upgraders who "just want the latest" should reconsider and invest in glass instead.

Problems:

-Automatic White Balance under tungsten lights is poor.
-Nikon i-TTL CLS with remote flashes is cool but requires a lot of tinkering to get right
-Amp-glow during long exposures
-Image quality not mind-blowingly superior to Nikon 6MP cameras (just larger for cropping)
-Shorter battery life than Nikon 6MP cameras
