Pentax Optio S6 review
I purchased this camera on vacation as a reasonably priced point and shoot. The image quality, especially during evening, night shots is very poor. Many times, it won't focus in low light at all, even when the night mode is on! Not having an eye viewfinder also makes it very difficult to use in a sun glare situation. You are pretty much shooting blind, as you can't see for the glare on the screen.
The back viewing panel went out about a month after I purchased it and the manufacturer claimed that it was due to pressure on the unit. This was nonsense. The camera had been well cared for and this was not even a possiblity, but they would not cover the $100.00 repair under warranty.
Overall, the only time this camera is useful is in daylight conditions, shooting into the sun....or in other words, Save your money!
Back screen went out and cost $100.00 to repair after a month of use. They would not cover it under warranty.
Low light and night pictures are poor or no quality.
No eye viewfinder makes sun glare situations impossible to gauge.
