Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8 review

This easily could be (but is NOT) the best camera on the market. It is feather light, fun to work with, has good lens and appropriate set of features.... however was badly degraded by poor quality very noisy 1/2.5 CCD sensor. Pictures are NOT sharp at all due to heavy post processing. RAW does not help much because pictures ares very noisy in the first place. It is so bad that all fine details are gone for ever. I took over 300 pic's directly comparing with Nikon D50 and little Canon P&S. It was disapointing to see much sharper pictures produced from P&S type camera.

Returned for refund.
I would not hesitate to pay for this camera as much as for DSLR providing it would have same quality large CCD sensor.
Not everybody want small P&S camera, not everybody want bulky DSLR...
There is also market for those who want decent mid-sized camera symilar to old range finder, camera thet would provide sharp high quality pictures.
