Olympus Stylus 720 SW (mju 720 SW Digital) review

Took great pics while snorkeling in Alaska and the Carribean. At least when compared to a disposable underwater 35mm camera. Good image quality in sunlight. OK flash pictures. Some low light shots are soft.

Dislikes: Resets user settings when shut off. Difficult to use controls underwater (like when snorkeling).

My summary: If you want an all around camera that you can drop and get wet, this is a good choice. If you plan to have another primary camera when you are out of harm's way, that is better as everyday shots may disappoint you when on dry land.

UPDATE 8-08:
My son used this on a canoe trip in Canada and managed 430 shots (!!) with the single battery he took. He did this by turning the camera on, taking the shot and shutting it off. No previewing, editing, etc. It lasted a week! The pictures are good, especially in good light.

We continue to be pleased with this little beast.
