Canon PowerShot G9 review

• A very worthwhile upgrade from the G7.
• Improvements in rendering fine detail such as leaf foliage are quite noticeable.
• Color is excellent and metering has been improved over the G7.
• Images below ISO 400 can be considered exceptional to excellent
• ISO 400 can be considered very good
• Beyond ISO 400 are good to useable to "Ok ... considering."
• As with the G7, I do not hesitate to print 4 X 6s of anything this camera captures
at even the highest ISOs ... although expect the fine-grain noise to be obvious at
ISO 800 and above. ISO 3200 renders a very small but often useable JPEG at 4 X 6
• All in all, probably the best compact point-and-shoot ever made and definitely the
best built ... though at a price.
• I find it worth every penny and often invaluable.

Problems:

None.
