Sigma DP1 review

I have had the camera now for 4 days (I live in Hong Kong) and I am not impressed. The image quality is good and although ISO400/800 is slightly grainy (not clean like Canon), the files have a film like quality to them. Colours are natural and not exaggerated.

For the bad news the camera's autofocus is very slow and the shutter lag is significant. I went to the park with the kids taking photos of them running around and I cannot capture any of the action.

For those photographers who want a compact package to take landscape photos, this camera is perfect. However, if you want a responsive small camera which can capture all those special moments, wait for an improved software or the next generation.
