Samsung S630 review

Fantastic value for the money. I bought this camera because I wanted to see what you could get for $70 (Ritz May 08). At first I was not impressed. The manual stinks and the controls are not intuitive. But once I downloaded the manual and started to explore it, BINGO. The camera has a wonderful assortment of fetures. Aperture and shutter priority, bracketing, color enhancement features are just a few, there are more. The trick to activating them is through the +/- button. Repeated presses and using the left/right or up/diown button takes you through a wide selection of features. Image quality so far seems good.

Problems:

Battery life may be a problem but at this price one could live with very easily. The menu is not great and finding the way to implement all the features takes some time to find. Character size on the 2.5 inch LCD menu is far too small but Samsung uses a rotary display to overcome that problem. The print on dials and buttons are hard to see and read.
