Canon PowerShot SD790 IS (Digital IXUS 90 IS) review
This camera is my 3rd point and shoot and its fantastic in terms of handling - both
physical and digital. The body is metal - feels and looks durable - and the weight of
the camera feels good in my hand and is not as light/flimsy as other ultra-compact
point & shoots.
The color treatment of my shots are excellent. Vivid mode does a great job and
makes everything look really vibrant - perfect for cloudy gray days! I always leave
the mode on Manual because I like to have some control on its behavior. I really
wish Canon would bring back the old Manual controls that allow the independent
adjustment of aperture and shutter speed. The digital macro mode tends to work
better than the normal macro in terms of getting an accurate macro focus. The
battery life is quite good, and I hardly have to charge it.
The LCD screen display makes everything look really good (big, clean, sharp,
bright) without you having to put it on the computer screen first. The start up time
for the camera is super fast too, minimizing your chance of missing the perfect
If your looking for a point & shoot, the Canon PowerShot SD790 IS won't
disappoint, I'm so happy I got mine!
None, I've used it for over month and shot 1000's of pictures on 2 battery charges.
