Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ4 review
Having owned a TZ3 for over a year now, I recommended either a TZ4 or TZ5 to my wife, for occasions when we are travelling apart.
As expected both cameras produce excellent results that are almost indistinguishable from each other, with the TZ4 being slightly better if close examinination is carried out.
The TZ4's controls are far more simplified and transitioning from a TZ3 to a TZ4 has it's awkward moments. The camera's layout is subtly different (and so is the software). My biggest gripe would be the reduction in the screen size from the TZ3, was that really necessary?
Given the choice I'd plump for the TZ3, especially with the crazy price reductions to be found. Especially as, in my opinion, neither camera is capable of produce "professional" quality pictures that could be used commercially (the lack of RAW format introduces far too many artefacts).
