Canon PowerShot SD990 IS (Digital IXUS 980 IS) review

I use this camera as a backup to my Nikon DSLR's and to carry when an SLR is not
practical. This is my third Ixus. As usual the menu is simple, logical and powerful.
Image Quality is very good and I liked the larger sensor this camera provides. The
Camera is reasonably robust. The viewfinder is clear and movie mode is also pretty

BUT - the biggest problem with this camera is the time it takes from button press until
the photo is taken. Much, much longer than my previous Ixus cameras and almost
enough for me to ditch it and look for something else. For anything fast moving, kids
or even portraits with a number of people in them, it's a real problem. Make sure you
test this before buying.
