Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W170 review
In daylight, this camera produces some VERY pleasing images. Battery life and performance are good. The metering system is fantastic and the focusing system very good.
What kills the camera for me is low light performance. Anything past ISO200 is very noisey. The flash is much weaker than most compacts in this size range.
The indoor night pictures are considerably worse than my DSC-W70. Noise at ISO 200 is worse than the DSC70 is at 400, maybe even 800. I could handle using is200 if the flash had some power, but again, a step back from the 70, the older camera has TWICE the flash range.
Very poor indoor night performance. Considerably worse than an older (and smaller!) Sony. So disappointed its going back.
