Canon EOS 550D (EOS Rebel T2i / Kiss X4) review
It's a great camera and worth the price with all of the
features. Of course, this is my first DSLR and I think
I've got something that can go further as I learn.
All of the features are easy to understand and that I
got used to how it works fast. Everything feels well
organized and well accessible. Image quality is great
(including low light conditions) and video quality is
superb.
It feels light, however the plastic feels like it might
break easily (but it appears to be much more stronger
that how you think it is).
I don't really use RAW but it sure is there. I looked at a
couple of reviews here, and there's this other guy
talking about RAW. I might be a novice, but I do know
that he definitely does not know what he is talking
about. The camera's RAW files are .CR2 NOT .CS4 (I
don't even know where he got that from). I don't use
RAW that much but I think it's handy for certain
situations where I feel like I might need to fix the
photo later on.
Capturing in burst is great. However, you can get up
to around 30 shots before the buffer fills up and
shooting in burst will have some sort of noticeable
additional delay. But I don't think you'd typically be
shooting burst with that much shots.
High ISO photos are great. I also shoot mostly in
manual and I kinda mix and match Aperture and
Shutter settings along with ISO to get the best shots.
Typically, I'd not go over 1600 ISO but at 3200 ISO,
this camera can still provide a great shot. Then,
probably you can do post editing to remove some
noise. But as it is, high ISO with this camera is great.
I don't think I'd have much more to say. But I guess
this is great beginner to amateur camera (or maybe
even a pro). At it's price point, it's a great buy with all
of the features and quality.
