Canon EOS 550D (EOS Rebel T2i / Kiss X4) review

I love this camera. It replaces a Sony Cybershot DSC F707 5 megapixel camera which served me well for 9 years.

I purchased the body only and a EFS 15-85mm lens which is a perfect combination for most of my efforts. I have a 100 to 300mm telephoto zoom lens from my old EOS film camera which works well, but is slow and very heavy. I added a 430 flash and purchased a Canon Pixma 9500 Mark II to replace my Epson Stylus 1280 that is still going strong after 15 years.

The art quality of the prints is outstanding and I am having the time of my life learning how to use all of the features of this camera system.

Problems:

None - except messing up the setting due to "bull fever" trying to take a picture of a 10' bull elk from 15' away on my first day of use. My "accident" cost me a beautiful once in a lifetime picture and a bruised ego.

It was dawn and I was eager to try my new flash and my finger moved the setting to the wrong place, so I just got two blurred images one of which created a great sense of motion with ghosted images as he crashed off into the woods.
