Nikon AF Nikkor 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5D IF ED
A fantastic wide zoom lens. I bought mine in 2003 and have used it extensively on my F5 as well as F3?T and F3HP and now on my recently purchased D700. Works on them all, and works well.
Does have some interesting distortion, but nothing that is obvious in most real world landscape and architectural photos.
I especially like the ability to "zoom to frame" the shot. I enjoy this lens and the images recorded with it.
While some of the prime wide angles (20mm) do get technically better results, for me the difference is minimal and the benefit of being able to to "zoom to frame", is well worth it.
