Best bang for buck dslr ever made (so far)

Canon have now used the T2i sensor in 4 different cameras, THAT's how good it is.

The only reason to buy a 7D, 600D or 60D is if you need the bigger body or speed & better autofocus or the fold out screen these provide, otherwise the much cheaper T2i 550D has it all.

It's the first crop dslr that matches my 5D for image quality, in a much smaller body.

It's brilliant

Problems:

Needs good lenses, the 18-55IS kitl lens just isn't good enough to show what the 550D can do.

Not a great focusing system - really it's a centre-point only camera, but that's the same with most of the non-pro Canons

I find it's much nicer to use with the optional grip attached
