Thank God for Sigma warranty

Takes good pictures, sharp when stopped down and good colour.
Slow focusing and noisy focus gear motor.
Bad construction.
Had dust in it when I bought it for over $700 at the time.
Not made for extreme conditions like Canadian winters.
If you are looking for a work horse lens then look away.
I will not buy another Sigma lens, this is a shame.
I did think it's optics was good but the mechanical was not up to par.
Maybe it was made on a Friday...LOL

It has been in the repair shop 5 times since I sold it to the next sucker.
The focus gear motor failed more than twice and would not work on Sony SLT-A55.
Sigma was good at fixing it and they even replace the contacts so it could meter with the Sony SLT- A55
At the end it just stayed in my camera bag and I was to afraid to use it again.
Sigma had replaced every mechanical part in the lens but still it was a lemon from day one
