Great camera in its category
2

I have this camera for about 2 months now and I am generally very satisfied. I wonder how people can rate a camera based on their inability to work with it, as seen in these posts.
I could work with RAW files in DPP from the moment I installed the (new) software and Aperture had already added it to its database, so I could also work in Aperture.
Great IQ, comparable with DSLRs, in a compact body.
Very good low light capability up to ISO 12800.
Versatile screen, usable OVF when speed is needed.
Very good handling, once you have tried it and got used to it.
Very good manual control, best (compact) camera until now regarding manual control and the level of control you get (have been using Canon G9, Sony Nex5 and am using Canon S100).

Problems:

No Macro, but this is alo the case with DSLRs in combination with similar lenses.
In modes other than auto, you need to change to Macro setting for closer photo's, an issue which can be solved with a fiermware update, as it already exists in auto-mode.
