You should save for a camera a bit longer and check out the Panasonic GX-1 at $300 for the body. It is going to be replaced and its a good value considering not even a year ago it was over $500.

Er, Being that is half the price of one of the options I have listed, what is with the savings? LOL. However, in general I would agree that most of the time you should save for the camera you want... or the lenses.

However, how does the GX1 and the G3/G5 compare to the E-PM2 or E-PL5. Being that B&H just did the sale on both the G3 and the GX1... how do they compare?

Also, is the loss of in body IS a huge loss when dealing with manual focus lenses (I will tell you right now, in a year or two, I will buy that 17.5 voightlander... night shooting in downtown will be awesome).

Don't get sucked in by the IS hype. The IS is apparently good on the E-M5, but it is not very useful on the other Olympus cameras.

I never use IS on my E-P3.
