There is a lot that sucks about the way MySet works.
But definitely does not suck in the way it is implemented in the E-PL5, totally suck free now. For the first time I'm using the MySets.
My usual everyday daylight to lowish light A mode settings are in MySet1 and assigned to the A mode spot on the dial. Always the way I want it when turning on or twisting the dial to the A spot.
In the normal course of events I never ever seem to use the S mode spot so it now has a copy of the A mode MySet1 in MySet2 assigned to it, but with lens OIS enabled. So when I use my Pana 45-150mm and judge it necessary to use the OIS then I twist from my usual A spot to the S spot and then it's working, no need to menu dive.
MySet3 is an M mode setup for flash currently at 800 ISO and is assigned to the M spot on the dial. Still can be used as a Manual mode of course but need to SCP dive more.
MySet 4 is a desperation A mode at maximum aperture where the auto ISO can run to 25,600 and the jpeg is Mono and assigned to the P dial spot.
Reminders of the above are stuck to the hinge of the LCD so I can see what's what if confused at some later date. Oh yes, all sets have RAW+jpeg enabled.
If at some stage I find my canned setup not quite what I want, then I change a setting and then re-write the appropriate MySet and tra la, there it is on the dial next time I use it.
That method of use has made the E-PL5 the only Oly in the game as far as I'm concerned. It's a crying shame that Oly hasn't rewarded the E-M5 users with a good mid-life firmware update and added the extra E-PL5 features.
And maybe E-PM2 is not ideal for a professional who shoots many hours at a time, I'm not sure. You're probably better off with E-M5 if you shoot several hours at at time every day.
I must respond with the E-PL5 is the most usable of the bunch now, the E-M5 is the slightly disabled brother. But if you are a dedicated dial fiddler then the E-M5 it needs to be.
