Re: Studio Room Lights

In my case, I don't have any lights on in my home studio when I do a shoot. There is a window in an adjacent room which provides enough light to be able to work safely in my studio. When I shoot in the evenings, I turn on a ceiling light in the adjacent room, which again provides enough light to work safely.

What ever lighting you decide to install, I suggest you take a shot of the room using the camera settings you will normally be using during a photo shoot. When you view your image, it should be completely black. This way, you know your ambient light will not have an effect on your images.

I'm sure there are hundreds of other good suggestions, this is just how I shoot.
