APS-C's last stand? Hardly

From the rumor mills, one can read that the mk2 will come out this year and it will have a big battery and will be very, very, expensive.

As Canonrumors speculate: “It’s sounding like Canon is really going to test how much people are willing to spend on an APS-C body.”

Sounds like it's going to be aimed squarely at the pro sports/wildlife shooter a la the old 1D series.  Higher features/lower volume = higher price.

So if the APSC pro market won’t buy it will be back to super rebels and entry level FF split. And if the FF entry levels will drop some more in prices and continue to improve in specs in their next generations the super rebels might slowly disappear too.

Not going to happen.  As entry level FF drop in price and improve in specs, so will APS-C.  The APS-C DSLRs will always have a signficant price advantage and some feature advantages (size, speed) over FF and always be more appealing to most amatuers.

And there is no indication that Canon is going to consolidate rebels and "super rebels".
