7D mk2: apsc’s last stand?

As for me I've already sold all my ef-s items and went full frame

...a 5D3 with a 24 MP 1.6x sensor.  The question is if that sensor is a new, more efficient, tech than the 5D3 and 6D sensors, or the same old tech with a few tweaks and a few more pixels.  Maybe it will have the same tech as the 1Dx sensor.
