Building a G Series Travel kit.

I just thought I would post this if anyone is thinking of building up a G series travel / urban photo kit.

Over the years of having G series cameras G5-G6-G12 & now G1X I have put together a kit of stuff I use the most on a trip for anybody who is interested.

Starting with the bag, over the years I have tried lots of bags but for quick access you can’t beat the messenger style bag, not just for the quick access but you blend in with other commuters as it doesn’t look like a camera bag so the one I use now is the Tamrac Rally 6 (Recommended) it’s not too big well made & not expensive.

The bag has side pockets for drink bottle.

Next is a list of stuff I take in the bag & use a lot,

Canon G1X

Canon G12

Spare batteries

Cable release

Filter adapters for both cameras

3 filters- polarizer / ND4 / Protection filter in wallet

Think tank pixel pocket rocket SD card wallet

Cleaning kit

Gorilla pod hybrid tripod

Small LED torch

Notebook & pen

This still leaves room for a flash some snacks & a small pack away rain Mack if needed.

This kit works for me really well so hope it will help anybody thinking of putting a kit together.

Darren.
