The 28 seems to suffer from focus shift. This is enough to make it a problematic lens, even though it seems a very, very good lens optically.

The Sigma 35 does not. If you are comfortable with 35mm, it is, to put it simply, the best bargain out there: sharpness wide open, coma correction, absence of focus shift, construction, it is truly a jewel that has relegated my 35 1.4G to the shelf.
