Dear,

I am a hongkongese. Of course I used to buy things in HK. So here are my advice to you all.

Do:

Stanley street - price may a little bit expansive

Mongkok - Tung Choi Street, Sai Yeung Choi Street, a lot of chain stores, anyone of them are OK (price varies from cheap to moderate expansive - but will a lot of gifts (such as memory cards, 3rd name battery) - a lot of customers from China, PRC, but most of them can say moderate English )

Shop in large malls in various areas in HK - they are also large chain stores (only large chain stores can survive in those malls, prices are very similar to those in Mongkok chains)

You can ask for quotation from different stores, they will offer different prices and gifts.

Used cameras and lens in Mongkon and Tsim Sha Tsui - including all Japense brand, Carl Zeiss, Leica etc etc. But they are not cheap, sometimes it will be more expansive than from eBay.

Don't / Never:

Shop without names on the Nathan Road, Wanchai, Causeway Bay - never do it (they called them duty free - HK is duty free!)

Wish you can have good shopping experience in HK.
