How is it in low light? Do you think it would perform better than the GK120? I'm now moving away from the Android requirements as I may have another solution there, though Wi-Fi is still needed.

Well bear in mind I haven't a shred of hard data to base any opinion on, so please take my thoughts with a large grain of salt ;-).  But gut-instinct tells me the NX-1000 you're considering should perform a few stops better in low-light, if for no other reason than an APS-C sensor should trump a 1 2/3" sensor.  And on top of that, a nice fast pancake lens (like the 30mm f/2) will definitely help the NX1000 in low-light as well.

I don't think Dxo has benchmarked the NX-1000 sensor (yet),  BUT they recently did the NX-200 (here ), which (on paper at least) should be somewhere in same ballpark as the NX-1000 you're looking at.  BTW, DxO weren't exactly thrilled about NX-200's low-light performance.  But relatively speaking, I'd still pick (any) NX over the Galaxy if low-light performance is a requirement.

Thoughts?
