Serious question about 5d Mk3.

I am hosting a German exchange student, and she is an incredible tennis player. I am having a ridiculously hard time acquiring focus on her with my 5d Mk2.

I am shooting a 70-200 wide open (2.8) in AI servo through the chain link fence.

No photographers are permitted inside the fences, press pass or not.

I know most of you will say the Mk2 is "no good" in AI servo but I do very well in football, basketball and wakeboarding. It has been my workhorse for sports and studio work for a long time.

Will the 5d3 do a better job in AI servo through the fence?

She is so good, her serve is almost never returned, and when the opponent serves, she only hits once or twice.

At the rate I am going (manual focus) I will not get very many "keepers". I hate to replace my camera, when this is the only situation it has ever failed me.
