Waterfalls and Shutter Speed

I took this shot on a hike in the woods by my house. It was done with a point and shoot and converted to B&W. I am beginning to tire of the milky cotton look of flowing water at low shutter speeds. Although this scene is a bit cluttered, I like the look of the water flow at 1/30 second, giving a much more dynamic feel to the water. What do you think?

Cheers
