I like the Canson Baryta, but I just got the new Red River San Gabriel Semi gloss fiber.

SG is well on its way to replacing both of my favorite Canson papers (Baryta Photographique and Platine) in my R3000. B&W and color prints look great.

RR describes it as ”100% alpha-cellulose base stock with pure Baryta whitener layer.”

It looks like a nice paper and I will order a pack to try out.

It costs $1 per sheet 8.5x11 in 50 sheet quantities, plus shipping. It's on the warm tone side and fairly thick at 18 mils.

On the other hand, Epson Exhibition Fiber costs the same $1 per sheet in 25 sheet quantities, FREE shipping from Adorama, is much whiter and brighter, thinner 13 mils.  Epson usually also has a buy 3 and get a rebate of the purchased price for one.
