Prices only fall if you can't sell something at the current price. Sigma has probably tapped out most  of the buyers who are willing to pay $1,000 for the DP1,2M and now want to see if lowering the price will increase sales. If it doesn't you may see prices fall even further (and as long as the Yen is cheaper they can afford too and still make a profit).
