what lens for afocal astrophotography

My only lens is a 12-50, I am thinking a prime would be better for shooting through an eyepiece on my telescopes..  I have all my stuff for prime focus, but since the em5 is so light I think it will be good to try it for afocal... and before I buy any new lens and step down attachments I need to know what size filter to buy it for..so how long a lens should I use that wouldn't cause too much vignetting through a 1.25 eyepiece? I cant seem to find any answers on the web, trying to factor in the 2x crop factor etc.. thinking maybe the olympus macro 60MM F2.8, or is that too long?
