Tokina 11-16mm lens Nikon Mount Question
There are two distinct versions of this lens: the version I and the version II. The version I does not have a focusing motor, so you need a camera body with an internal focus motor if you want to use it. The version II has a focus motor in the lens, so you can use it with lower-end bodies that don't have an internal focus motor. Since, as far as I am aware, the D70s has an internal focus motor, you should be able to use either version with no problem. There are numerous reports on the web of people successfully using this lens on a D70s body. I used it on a D7000 and I have been very happy with it. It's a fantastic lens.
