Are we really doing this AGAIN?

I know you've been around this forum long enough to have seen every single topic on this as well as the repeated explanations from the DPR staff not to mention entire multi-page articles written by both DPR and DXO on ISO. There is no misstatement of ISO.

1/3 EV worst case.

As to the studio shots the DPR staff have said repeatedly that the lighting is not at all controlled for those shots and comparing exposures between studio shots should not be done because any conclusions drawn would be bogus.

As to different manufacturers choosing different balances for highlight/shadow headroom in RAW exposure that has been true for a long time. And no it doesn't bother me. And yes if one were to try and compare high ISO noise performance between cameras you'd want to account for that - which is exactly what DXO does.
