I am happy with the Sigma 18-250 Macro. Its quite a good all-round performer during the day, particularly at f8. It is well priced and light-weight.

I wanted to like the Nikkor 18-300, but its just too heavy and bulky for me. If you have large strong hands you shouldnt have a problem with it.


I assume the White Ibis shot in your D5200 gallery was taken at 250 mm with the Sigma? If so, that certainly works for me, all things considered.
