My shooting time is always at a premium with work and well, life. So today I wanted to go shooing with a friend but it rained the entire day.

I thought about getting some shots of ducks and geese in the rain but didn't have anything to protect my camera/lens. What have any of you used to "get the shot" when you had no other choice.

I am "in the same boat." I have a Kata and it's ok if you use a tripod and take your time. It doesn't work for me for street photography when I use my 7d with the 70-200L/4 or a 40/2.8. A very light rain, OK to use the camera as is, but here we have web feet to paddle better and too often the rain is too heavy. I'm not willing to take the risk...

I'd like to hear about solution for smaller combinations that do not require a  tripod to operate. I have a few rain sleeves, they don't work for me at all, I'm on the street and they are at home so it doesn't help.
