A list of good/bad MFT lens for new owner?

Everything else has its supporters and detractors, but the lenses above are considered good quality and / or value by pretty much everyone.

Agree with your list from what I have owed or used. However I feel the 7-14 and 9-18 are on par, really depends on your personal needs.

I choose the 9-18 over the 7-14 mainly due to slightly less flare, smaller, takes filters and better range for me.

I do miss the super wide of 7mm but a defished 7.5mm image gets me by

The lenses getting bad press seem to be the panasonic pz 14.42 and pz 45.175.

I own both and find the pz14-42 is good in the wide range and poor at 42mm. I still use it alot as it fits nicely on my GX1, is not much bigger than my 14mm f2.5 and the power ois is quite good.

For me the PZ 45-175 has been amazing. Very small, normally very sharp, the lens does not extend when zooming, and the two lenses are a good combo for hand held video clips
