Back to Maintenance tanks.

I had an Epson engineer to sort out a 150C problem on my machine this afternoon.

As regards regular maintenance he says he get far more calls to machines with dried up ink than any other problem. Yes, extreme useage will wear components eventually, but lack of regular useage causes far more problems.

One tip was to remove the waste ink recepticle and put a damp sponge in its place. The evaporating water will reduce the speed of the ink drying on the (static) head.
