Re: D300s vs D7100 - is it about spec or is it about handling?

I am happy with my D300s, just wish for better low light performance - ISO 6400 just fine, currently beyond 800 is suck - could compensate with better glass, but the trouble is I have to upgrade every piece so it is much cheaper with a better sensor and electronic.  D800 is over the top, D600 is a half-hearted attempt, D7100 not much better than D7000 - waiting for the D400 or a D600 sensor in a D800 body - and above all better QC before I part with my money.  I am still exploring all aspects of my D300s.  My F3 came with a handful of pages of manual and mostly basic instruction how to take good photos, my D300s came with a whopping 432 pages of detailed instructions covering all aspects of the camera hardware features and picture taking ability - I'll bet most of us never read it cover to cover.
