Interesting reaction to the converted B&W X100 set. It seems to me that the very things that you are critical of have many loving the photos. I'm strictly film when shooting B&W, so I'm thinking that my tastes would be a bit critical of the exposure/processing. That said, it is apparent to me that given the limitations of one lens, the X100s should be able to do the job if a decent RAW converter can be found. Also, in defense of digital B&W, I doubt that film could match the tonality of a high ISO image shot with a modern sensor/electronics and fast optics.
