It will shoot 6fps until the buffer is full and then only shoot as fast after that as it can process the images and write them to your memory card to make room for the next image. How fast that is depends upon the speed of the cards and the camera interface to the cards and the rate at which the camera can process the images. With these large 14-bit 24MP RAW images, I would expect the camera to drop to 1-3fps once the buffer is full.

The point of the buffer is to make a temporary place to cache a burst of images that arrive at faster fps than the camera can actually process them.  The larger the buffer, the larger the burst of images that can be collected without slowing the fps.
