I'm with you on that, especially the 95% of people that think FF is ALWAYS an "upgrade".

Upgrade these days means any of the following:  newer, different, better (based on opinion) in any area.

The term "upgrade" also may also cause some people who are happy with the current camera to defend it.  It happens for any product.

I defend my current older LCD TV with my brother in law, who "upgrades" every other year.  I'm also in an online community for my boat.  There is a lot of defending going on there as folks come in with new models or are "serious" wakeboarders..."you don't see the pros using that boat"

Same with golf clubs..."go work on your swing instead of buying new clubs".
