Why should I choose 5D mk II and not Nikon D600?

I currently have 5D mk I and want to upgrade to a more modern camera mainly for video recording and additional software perks (like HDR or DRO).

OK, as far as I understand, D600:
+has better DR (very important for me)
+has more software features (time lapse, better HDR)
+has aperture control on old manual and some 3rd party manual focus lenses + assistance for focusing

-is some $200-300 more expensive (5D mk II used in good condition, d600 refurbished)
-body is less upmarket (although it feels a bit nicer in hand)

Since I am anyway planning to keep only 50mm 1.4 lens anyway, system change is not an issue at all.

So, why should I choose 5d mk II and not Nikon D600?..
How does the video recording (for amateur movies) compare between the cameras?

Canon EOS 5D Nikon D600
