I confess to the sins of shooting handheld and seldom using tripod or bracketing or grad filters- still use the latter 2 some with e30 but not so much with omd. I can now get better and less noisy results with Lightroom 4 with one contrasty exposure than I can with bracketing and  trying to wrestle a realistic result out of HDR software or fighting the line you're often left with when using grad filters. For more severe repairs I do use photoshop and nik filters.  If I blend exposures in ps, it's often 1 RAW processed 2 or 3 ways. I know that's a sin too but it sometimes works.
