You're kidding, right? you wish to replace a ~$200 lens where all you need to do is set the aperture wide on your camera, with a ~$700 piece of software---needing quite the computer to run comfortably---which requires tedious and difficult work with layers et al to achieve at best the exact same thing?

Even leaving aside the benefits of visualization, even leaving aside the benefits of faster shutter speeds, even leaving aside the photographer's integrity in not manipulating their images to such an extent... are you kidding!?
