Consider the newest Sigma 120-300/2.8 OS or an older non-OS version that can now be had for about $1500. You could reach your target focal lengths with three lenses:




If you didn't like all that overlap, you could replace the 70-200 with 85/1.8 and 105/2.8 Micro prime lenses and gain some lens speed and macro capability.

A 24-70, 85/1.8, 105/2.8, and 120-300/2.8 (all new) would leave enough for a refurb D800 in a $9000 budget.
