Time to buy a new printer?
I have a malfunctioning 8 year old Canon ip4000, yellow led flashing 5x which I read to be a problem with the print head. I have run thru the checklist to clear the problem with no success. Checked prices online and find a replacement print head goes for about $90 and the printer is still for sale new for about $390 [which I find hard to believe it is still being made]. Am looking at the ip7220 [$79.00] as a replacement. I print a few 4x6's and the occasional 8x10 a month. Printer is used primarily for PDF's and other non-photo use. I do like the Canon interface and wi-fi ability. The question I have is the ip4000 that superior to the ip7220 that it would pay to have it repaired? Thanks in advance for any replys.
