Re: Got to have IS for a 24-70/F2.8 (FF sensor)?

Ive got a Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 VC on my 5DMKIII. With this lens i can hand hold at 1/6th sec and get sharp shots. I dont do that a lot but its nice to have the chance to have both clean shot and large DOF (for close up shots).

I dont miss it on my primes but sometimes ill use my Tamron for low light shots, even though its slower, because for static objects i can get slower shutter speeds but sharper shots.

The high ISO's on the newer cameras are great but i still find its better to keep it as low as possible.

Depends on what you shoot though.
